THE DOOD FIELD GUIDE
Connect video meetings to a useful CRM next step
Keep meeting context, decisions and follow-up in the customer record without turning every call into a data-cleanup task.
Start from the right relationship
Link a meeting to the relevant contact and opportunity before the call. Record the purpose, participants and the question you need to resolve. Avoid creating a new contact solely because a meeting attendee uses a different display name.
Capture decisions rather than everything said
A useful CRM note states the customer’s need, the decision, open questions and the next action. Assign an owner and date to each commitment. If you record or transcribe a meeting, follow the participants’ consent requirements and your organisation’s retention rules.
Scope the provider connection
A meeting provider may expose attendance, recordings or events through separate interfaces and permissions. Confirm what the selected plan actually supports. Integration should handle cancelled or rescheduled meetings and avoid duplicate activities when a notification repeats.
Make follow-up visible
After the call, review the note, confirm the next action and move the opportunity only when the agreed stage criteria are met. Keep the original meeting link for reference. Dood can scope this handoff around your existing provider; this page does not provide a video calling service.
Keep the workflow connected.
