DOOD / INTEGRATION PLANNING
Google Workspace integration planning for your CRM
Connect documents, email and customer records through a scoped workflow with deliberate access and ownership.
Choose one useful connection
A practical starting point is creating a client folder after an approved onboarding event, or linking a reviewed email activity to a CRM record. Write down the trigger, required data and expected result before selecting an implementation approach.
Use the provider’s supported interfaces
Google’s Drive API provides file and folder operations; the Gmail API provides mailbox capabilities. Each connection needs the appropriate authorisation and scopes. Confirm administrator policies and the selected account’s access. This page describes implementation options, not an already installed one-click Dood connector.
Keep links and permissions aligned
A folder link in the CRM does not grant access to the folder. Test what the intended team can open and what a different user cannot. Prefer a controlled business-owned location over an individual employee’s ad hoc folder when the workflow must survive staff changes.
Handle retries and revocation
Store the source and destination identifiers so retries can reuse the existing folder or activity. Surface revoked access as an actionable error. In a pilot, test one successful event, one repeated event and one removed permission before expanding to all clients.
Keep the workflow connected.
